FOOD SERVICE

 

DESCRIPTION:  If you like food service and enjoy working with people, come help Knoebels food service departments get even better!  Help us by taking guest’s orders, answering questions, running cash register and maintaining a clean workstation.

 

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Smile and greet guests
  • Answer questions for guests or direct them to someone who can
  • Handle guest complaints or direct them to someone who can
  • Prepare food items, if appropriate, prior to orders being taken
  • Take food and drink orders
  • Serve guest food or drink orders accurately
  • Accurately ring up sale in cash register
  • Receive correct money or tickets and give correct change
  • Stock food and supplies as needed
  • Ask for help or supplies when needed
  • Perform cleaning duties at workstation to maintain a clean safe work area

 

TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

 

  • Flexible schedule
  • Minimum age 14
  • This is a seasonal fulltime position, with evening and weekend hours required (14-15 year old cannot work past 9:00pm).
  • Find own replacement if unable to make scheduled shifts
  • Requires working in a semi indoor environment
  • Requires being able to lift up to 40 pounds for stocking duties
  • Requires frequent standing and walking
  • Must wash hands after touching face, eating, smoking and using restroom
  • Must have an outgoing personality with a strong commitment to customer service and to Knoebels
  • Must be dependable, reliable, prompt, efficient, trustworthy, adaptable, organized and a team player
  • Must be upbeat, energetic, self-motivated and be able to stay focused
  • Must present a professional image in appearance and conduct
  • Must communicate to people in a friendly professional manner
  • Must follow company uniform, grooming and hygiene requirements

  • Must not eat, smoke or use tobacco while at any workstation and keep drinks out of view of guests
